Locums - General SurgeryLocation: Grand Island, NebraskaLicense: Active NE license or IMLC (LOQ in hand) - RequiredDates Needed: December 22-28, 2025Shift: 24-hour call (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM daily)Duration: 1-week locums assignmentSetting: Inpatient/Outpatient Hospital - 159-bed facilityTrauma Level: Level III Clinical Scope:
  • Duties: 24/7 Trauma and Acute Surgery call coverage
  • Procedures: General surgery - must be comfortable with trauma
  • Support: Hospital-based inpatient staff only
  • EMR: Epic
Requirements:
  • Board Certification or Eligibility in General Surgery - Required
  • General Surgery Residency - Required
  • Active NE License or IMLC with LOQ in hand - Required
  • ATLS Certification - Required
Additional Information:
  • Reason for Coverage: Hospital previously covered by two groups; one (4-person group) has withdrawn, creating immediate need
  • High-impact coverage role - must be able to work independently
  • Trauma experience necessary due to acuity and volume
