Works closely with senior leadership to assure appropriate integration of group practice activities. Must be willing to make site visits to practice locations.Reports To:Administratively: VP of Physician Practices of Medical Center.Medically: CMOSchedule:Will split time between Medical Director activities and Primary Care responsibilities.Medical Director = 16 hours per week.Primary Care = 24 hours per week (2.5 hours documentation time; 21.5 hours direct patient care).Fulltime outpatient position with leadership/Division Chair interest.Provider must have minimum of 5 years in practice in outpatient primary careSeeking a provider who ideally plans to stay and practice 5-10 years minimum.Will split time between Medical Director activities and Primary Care responsibilities.20-24 patients per dayCommunity call (including local nursing home patients) TBDEMR is Meditech Expanse, Dragon dictationSupported by an RN Team leader and designated MAExcellent IT and Marketing support to help build volume and reach wRVU Director/Practice Chair Responsibilities:Clinical. Leads Medical Centers Physician Practice providers in medical / clinical practices. Responsible for the quality of clinical care of the practices. Acts as mentor for practice providers. Coordinates Medical Staff education.Administrative. Participates in the institutional planning, operations, and management activities of the Weeks Medical Center group practice. Ensures compliance with institutional mission statements, corporate policies, and professional staff bylaws working closely with the CEO, CMO, and VP of Physician Practices. Provides input for outpatient practice policies in collaboration with VP of Physician Practices, Operations Director, and Clinical Managers. Works with the VP of Physician Practices and Chief Medical Office on personnel matters affecting practice providers. Coordinates medical staff grievance process, mediating professional disputes and interdepartmental problems for members of the group practice. Ensures provider compliance to RHC regulations. Works with the VP of Physician Practices and Operations Director to resolve grievances and complaints from patients and other customers. Assists the administrative team with medical staff recruitment for the group practice. Monitors providers dashboards; identifies opportunities for improvement in quality, stewardship, utilization, and productivity. Participates in strategic planning. Collaborates with providers and managers across system, works on system integration. Acts as liaison with community partners.Quality. Collaborates with the Quality Chair on practices, peer reviews, and quality. Acts as ACO medical champion. Drives quality initiatives and outcome measures of ACO and value -based programs. Acts as the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) superuser of the practice group; identifies and advocates for solution related to EMR issues. Champion of organizations controlled substance best practices initiative. Identifies opportunities to address social determinants of health; assesses wellness needs of community and drive initiatives to address.Committee Work.
