World Vision is hiring a Senior Director, People & Culture Leadership and Organizational Development to lead enterprise-wide initiatives that enhance leadership, culture, and effectiveness across the ministry.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field is required. Master’s degree preferred. A combination of education and experience could be considered. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in organizational development, HR strategy, or leadership development, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership or enterprise-level role.
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A for any employer
Travel: Up to 10% of travel may be required.
Estimated hiring range: $140,220 – $161,000
The Job
You will provide strategic leadership for enterprise-wide organizational development, program design, and HR analytics to increase agility, strengthen change capacity, and enhance organizational effectiveness through a Christian lens. Oversee the development and delivery of high-impact leadership development programs, both internal and outsourced, ensuring alignment with World Vision’s mission, vision, and values. Help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies. Personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign.
Responsibilities will include
- Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, chapel, prayer, worship, devotions, and leadership of devotions); incorporate WV Core Values into decisions within scope of role.
- Strategic Leadership & Team Management: Provide leadership and direction to the Learning & Organizational Development (L&OD) team, including hiring, performance management, coaching, and succession planning; ensure alignment with organizational goals and People & Culture (P&C) strategy.
- HR Leadership Team Participation: Serve as a core member of the WVUS Human Resources leadership team, contributing to strategic planning, organizational design, and enterprise-wide initiatives that support long-term business and talent objectives.
- Enterprise Organizational Development & Program Strategy: Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide organizational development programs, including Culture of Excellence, employee experience, and the talent lifecycle, through the lens of Culture & Belonging and a flexible workforce model.
- HR Analytics & Data-Driven Decision Making: Oversee the use of workforce analytics to assess organizational needs, guide program design, measure effectiveness, and inform strategic decisions; partner with analysts and senior leaders to drive data-informed change management and institutional transformation.
- Executive Partnership & Strategic Alignment: Partner closely with the SVP of People & Culture to align organizational development and effectiveness strategies across the enterprise, ensuring a unified and holistic approach to talent, culture, and change leadership.
- Enterprise Change Leadership & Communication: Work in partnership with SVP of People and Culture in leading change initiatives across WVUS, including communication with the Board of Directors, senior leadership, and staff; ensure alignment of P&C strategic initiatives with organizational priorities and culture transformation efforts.
- Faith Integration & Cultural Stewardship: Oversee the Faith at Work team and lead enterprise-wide spiritual engagement initiatives, including Chapel programming, Day of Prayer, and partnership-wide prayer efforts.
- Strategic Planning & Division Enablement: Drive strategic planning and goal setting for the P&C Division, including oversight of Our Voice Survey action planning, Management Forum events, and other enterprise-wide engagement initiatives.
- Organizational Awareness & Policy Alignment: Maintain a high level of awareness of organizational goals, policies, and initiatives; ensure compliance with internal procedures and proactively seek clarity to support effective leadership and decision-making.
- Maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities. Reference and follow organizational policies and procedures, seeking clarity as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Ability to connect organizational development with broader HR strategies like talent, culture, and performance.
- Effective in translating vision into execution through planning, goal setting, and enterprise engagement.

- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams in mission-driven environments.

Salary & Benefits
WVUS Pay Grade Level: 230
Estimated hiring range is $140,220 - $161,000
The posted hiring salary range reflects pay for U.S. locations and is determined using market data and internal compensation guidelines. Actual compensation may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic location, job-related experience, and applicable laws. A different range may apply in certain locations.
