We are looking for a passionate and mission-focused Metadata Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Policy Strategist to help lead and contribute to the development, implementation, and refinement of Metadata policies and specifications.
Required Skills: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of experience
Extensive experience with the XML technology stack: XSLT 3.0, XProc 3.1, XSD 1.1, and Schematron.
Deep knowledge of the IC Trusted Data Framework (TDF) stack of specifications, particularly the Information Security Markings (ISM) at all their published security levels.
Proven expertise in metadata governance, particularly in IC and DoD environments.
In-depth understanding of security classification systems, markings, and policies (e.g., CUI, DoD 5200.1-R, IC markings).
Demonstrated experience working within or alongside the JESC, Common Metadata Standards Tiger Team process, or CDO forums.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience briefing senior stakeholders and policy decision-makers.
Ability to translate complex policies into practical, technically implementable metadata specifications.
