Report Developer Analyst

Purpose:
The Report Developer Analyst is responsible for identifying data quality issues, interpreting data and turning it into information, offering ways to improve the business and affect business decisions. The Report Developer Analyst gathers data from various sources and develops tools to visualize patterns and trends. The Report Developer Analyst assists the Business Analyst Manager to build reports and dashboards to drive data-information decision making in Galen.
Duties and Responsibilities: Actively and consistently supports the mission, vision and values of Galen Medical Group by providing excellent care delivered with wisdom, compassion, integrity and a commitment to technology, education and scientific inquiry. Demonstrated working knowledge of MS Applications (excel, PP, Word), VB, SQL, and other program languages. Must be proficient in Power BI modeling, creating reports from the PM/EMR with the ability to analyze file structure and transform raw data into finished products. Collect data, and provide reports to appropriate personnel Acquire data from primary and secondary data sources and maintain database/datasystems Filter and "clean" data, and review reports and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems. Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs. Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques Responsible for managing Help Desk tickets, ensuring customers receive timely follow-up Ability to work with different applications, vendors, customers and staff to assist and/or resolve problems Must be able to fulfill other job duties as assigned by Business Analysis Manager Knowledge/ Abilities/ Expectations: Promote the mission, vision, and values of Galen Medical Group. Maintain confidentiality of all patient, medical, financial and legal information. Report to work on time as scheduled. Wear identification during work hours. Represent the Organization in a positive and professional manner. Ability to handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians, or others in a professional manner. Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude. Comply with all organizational policies and standards regarding ethical business practices Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities. Attend regular staff meetings and in-services as directed by your Manager. Consistently demonstrate the value to team concept. Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities. Complete assignments efficiently and in a timely manner. Understands and abides by OSHA WORKINGHOURS:
Work hours can be PRN, Pro-rated FT or FT based on needs of the site. Weekends, holidays and overtime must be worked as required by department. Galen reserves the right to change the work schedule of any employee when it is considered in the best interest of the organization.
The reasonable scheduling of overtime is the prerogative of Galen, and employees will be expected to work such overtime unless excused by their supervisor.

Education
Minimum Associates Degree in a related field (computer science, economics, statistics, mathematics, information management, etc.)
Experience
Expertise in SQL programming and data manipulation Excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL server Experience with additional database architectures is preferred (Oracle, MySQL, etc) Experience with Crystal reports or (or comparable data presentation platform) Experience with PowerBI or Tableau Expertise in MS Applications (Excel, Word, Power Point); Web Browser Applications Experience with Electronic Medical records and Practice management software Skills/Certifications
Familiarity with statistical programming languages and packages (SAS,SPSS,R, Python) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings Knowledge of basic medical terminology required Self-motivated and eager to learn, Must be a ream player As part of the Galen Medical Group, the applicant must be a team player and provide excellent customer service while assessing our patients needs efficiently. Perform all duties in compliance with Galen Medical policies, HIPAA, and OSHA standards.
