Packsize
Job Description:
Position Summary:
Packsize is seeking a highly experienced and versatile
Lead SAP Technical Architect
to join our dynamic internal team. This is a critical, hands-on leadership role for a technical expert who can design, build, and optimize solutions across our entire SAP ECC landscape. You will be responsible for architecting robust solutions, leading technical development, and ensuring seamless integration between SAP and other enterprise systems.
The ideal candidate is a true "player-coach" who can create the high-level architectural blueprint and is not afraid to dive into ABAP code, system configuration, and complex problem-solving. You will work closely with business stakeholders, internal team members, and external vendors to drive key initiatives and ensure the stability and scalability of our core business systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Architecture & Design:
Serve as the technical authority for our SAP ECC environment. Design and architect comprehensive solutions that span multiple modules, including FICO, MM, PP, WM, and QM. Hands-On Technical Execution:
Perform hands-on ABAP development for complex enhancements, custom reports, interfaces, conversions, and extensions (RICEFW). Troubleshoot and debug critical issues at the code level. Integration Management:
Architect and oversee the integration of SAP with various third-party systems. Lead the design and implementation of interfaces, leveraging at least one major integration platform (experience with MuleSoft is a significant advantage). Functional & Technical Leadership:
Act as the bridge between functional requirements and technical implementation. Collaborate with business users to understand needs and translate them into detailed technical specifications and scalable system designs. Vendor and Team Collaboration:
Lead and guide internal team members and external AMS partners on development standards, architectural principles, and project execution. Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices. System & Process Optimization:
Proactively identify opportunities to improve system performance, streamline business processes, and enhance the user experience through technical innovation. Project Leadership:
Take ownership of the technical delivery for projects, from initial concept and design through development, testing, and deployment, ensuring solutions are delivered on time and within budget. Documentation & Governance:
Create and maintain clear technical documentation, including architectural diagrams, development standards, and integration maps. Uphold and enforce change control and transport management policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of progressive experience in SAP technical roles, with a proven track record as a Technical Architect or a similar senior-level position. Deep and extensive knowledge of the SAP ECC 6.0 environment is mandatory. Expert-level ABAP programming skills are required. Must be able to code, debug, and optimize complex custom objects. Proven experience designing and delivering solutions across multiple core SAP modules (e.g., FICO, MM, SD, PP, WM). A strong understanding of the underlying data structures and business processes is essential. Hands-on experience with at least one major integration tool/platform (e.g., MuleSoft, SAP PI/PO, Dell Boomi, etc.). MuleSoft experience is a huge plus. Demonstrated ability to architect, lead, and deliver on large-scale enhancement projects and complex system integrations. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; capable of working effectively with business stakeholders, managing vendor relationships, and mentoring other team members. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Preferred Skills:
Experience with barcode scanning systems, MES, or mobile warehouse solutions. Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and readiness for future migration projects. Familiarity with SAP change management processes (transport management, ticketing systems). Experience in a manufacturing industry environment.
