A market-leading, award-winning direct lender and experienced private credit manager with over ~$65B AUM is looking to add a Private Credit Associate or Senior Associate to the Credit Opportunities team in New York, NY, or Chicago, IL. The firm specializes in delivering reliable, creative and compelling financing solutions to companies backed by private equity sponsors. The Credit Opportunities team has a flexible mandate to deliver creative, customized financing solutions throughout the capital structure. Primary strategies include Corporate Credit (including senior / junior debt and preferred equity), Portfolio and Fund Finance (including NAV and GP financing), and Structured Products (CLOs, SRTs, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting the Credit Team in reviewing new investment opportunities and monitoring existing investments Evaluating investment opportunities including direct lending investments, secondary purchases of individual middle market loans, portfolio purchases and NAV loans / GP financings Analyzing structured equity investments as well as equity co-investments associated with loans under consideration for purchase Monitoring existing investments; performing portfolio analytics and assisting in valuations Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably with a major in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related financial discipline with an outstanding record of academic achievement 2-6+ years of buyside private credit investing experience Experience working with financial sponsors is a plus Detail-oriented, strong financial modeling and accounting skills and comfortable with writing and presenting detailed memos / analytics to Investment Committee
