Hybrd What you will do: Convert business requirements, storyboards, and use cases into functional COBOL applications Design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable, high-performance application solutions Write efficient, reusable, and reliable code that aligns with industry best practices Optimize application performance to ensure high quality and responsiveness Diagnose and resolve application bottlenecks and bugs with effective solutions Uphold high standards for code quality, organization, and automation across the codebase Contribute to the design and implementation of reusable code libraries Apply knowledge of design patterns, architectural frameworks, and services relevant to both legacy and modern environments Produce clean, readable, and maintainable code Implement core design principles to build scalable and robust applications Demonstrate understanding of class loading mechanisms and runtime behavior in application environments What you will need to be successful: Minimum 6 years of experience in COBOL application development Proficient in COBOL and other relevant languages; experience with Java, .NET, web, mobile, or reporting analytics is a plus Strong understanding of COBOL ecosystems and legacy systems Skilled in writing reusable code and working with code libraries Familiar with various design and architectural patterns Deep knowledge of frameworks, concepts, and services for both legacy and modern architectures Experienced in debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing performance Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Committed to code quality, readability, and best practices Benefits overview:
