PACS Coordinator Location: Pasadena, CA Type: Contract Job #84227 APR Consulting, Inc. has been engaged to identify a PACS Coordinator Location: Pasadena, CA 91105 Position: PACS Coordinator Pay Rate: $40-$43/hr Duration: 13 weeks Expected Shift: 40 hrs/week 8am-4:30pm JOB SUMMARY Minimum of 3 years' experience as an PACS coordinator/administrator. Preferred 3 years of extensive experience in DICOM modality integration and validation. Preferred to have a Certified PACS Associate (CPAS) and Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP) This dual job is responsible for the management and day to day operations of the PACS (Picture Archieving & Communication System) in radiology and cardiology. The coordinator will be responsible for the training of radiology/cardiology staff, radiologists, cardiologists and other clinical users. This person will also act as a liaison with the EIS department. This is a full time position which may require flexibility of hours and is not eligible for paid overtime. As a member of the Imaging Informatics team, this individual may be responsible for providing support to any of the following areas associated with imaging informatics: PACS, RIS, Advanced Visualization (3D) processing, DICOM integration and validation, PACS quality control and assurance, reading room design and support, and digital imaging operations. Supported imaging modalities include: Computed and Direct Radiography, Fluoroscopy, Interventional Radiology, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Cardiology (CL,NIC,VL). Supported ancillary systems include film digitizers, CD/DVD import/export devices, DICOM routers, DICOM brokers, and reporting systems. The Senior IIA interacts with all sections of the Imaging Department, providing operational support and technical guidance to Imaging personnel to assure optimal digital imaging workflow. The PACS Coordinator must possess good interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate and interact with individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds.
