Program Coordinator – Financial Empowerment

Salary $44,000. Applications will be reviewed beginning August 18th, 2025. Open until filled As part of the Foster Success team, the Program Coordinator - Financial Empowerment, advances the organization’s mission by ensuring teens and young adults have access to a continuum of high quality Financial Empowerment programs and resources as they transition out of foster care. The Coordinator serves as the point of contact for young people participating in the financial empowerment programs and those seeking resource connections related to their financial well-being. The Coordinator works with the Financial Empowerment leadership to ensure the smooth functioning of program operations and activities. The Program Coordinator - Financial Empowerment will report to the Senior Director of Programs & Impact in the interim. This position will begin full-time, in-office (based in Indianapolis), and will have an opportunity to become a hybrid or remote position. Organization Overview

Foster Success mission is to hear, support, and empower teens and young adults transitioning out of foster care on their journey to self-sufficiency. We are committed to improving the foster care system and ensuring that teens and young adults transitioning out of foster care are educated, housed, financially stable, employed, and connected to a support system by age 26. Our team accomplishes this through program delivery, policy change, and partnership developments in the areas of K-12 & post-secondary education, workforce development, health & well-being, financial empowerment, and youth engagement. Primary Responsibilities

Program Administration

Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the financial empowerment programs. Review applications, collect required documentation, and disburse funds in a timely and organized manner. Facilitate financial empowerment programming including instruction of the Opportunity PassportⓇ Keys to Your Financial Future curriculum. Provide input on system and process improvement. Coordinate the administration of bi-annual surveys for Opportunity PassportⓇ participants.

Participant Support

Serve as the point of contact for young people seeking to engage in financial empowerment programs and for current participants in need of support. Support those seeking resource connections related to their financial well-being and empower young people in building long-term support networks. Work in partnership with young people across program areas.

Payments

Process payments for Financial Empowerment programs, including online financial modules, Opportunity PassportⓇ and Credit Build.

Work with third-party vendors to ensure timely payments are made. Track bi-annual survey disbursements and troubleshoot payment issues. Track receipts and ensure organized record keeping.

Data Tracking and Reporting

Update documentation in the Salesforce system on a daily basis. Provide support in the management of participant databases and keeping up-to-date information. Support in data collection and analysis.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience working with individuals affected by foster care, individuals from diverse backgrounds, or involved in the justice system

Demonstrated success in the areas of program implementation, service coordination, and attention to detail,

Experience working with transition aged youth between the ages of 14-26 from diverse backgrounds.

Experience facilitating learning and activities for youth or young adults

Mental health knowledge/experience is preferred,

Ability to represent Foster Success with senior-level partners and agencies

Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined in Foster Success Employment agreements and the organizational Handbook, including all confidentiality requirements for all client information.

Work a flexible schedule that includes some weekends and evenings to meet program goals.

Have reliable transportation for work-related travel, which may include access to a personal vehicle, public transit, rideshare, or rental options as needed.

Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills and experience with and knowledge of relevant software, particularly Salesforce, Zoom, Google, and Microsoft Products.
