Radiation Therapist Position
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiation Therapist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering radiation therapy to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the treatment process. This position requires a strong understanding of medical imaging, anatomy, and physiology, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Duties
Administer radiation treatments to patients according to established protocols and physician instructions. Prepare treatment areas and equipment, ensuring all safety measures are in place. Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing physical examinations. Collaborate with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans. Utilize advanced medical imaging techniques, including CT scans and mammography, to assist in treatment planning. Monitor patients during treatment sessions, providing emotional support and addressing any concerns. Maintain accurate records of treatments administered and patient progress. Stay current with advancements in radiation therapy technology and techniques. Years of Experience: 2 year(s) Certifications: ARRT T, BLS Qualifications
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to radiation therapy. Experience or training in critical care and acute care settings is preferred. Proficiency in medical imaging techniques such as CT and mammography is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A valid certification or license in radiation therapy from an accredited institution is required. Previous experience in a clinical setting is an advantage but not mandatory.
