Electrical & Data Systems Estimator
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year AtWork is now hiring an experienced Electrical & Data Systems Estimator on behalf of a reputable commercial contractor in the Indianapolis area. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity for candidates who bring both technical expertise and strong industry relationships. The Estimator will be responsible for identifying project opportunities, preparing accurate and competitive estimates, and building and maintaining strong relationships with general contractors. This role supports both the Electrical and Low Voltage/Data divisions and plays a key part in helping the company pursue strategic, high-value projects. Key Responsibilities
Review bid boards and identify projects that align with company goals Prepare estimates for electrical and low-voltage/data scopes Analyze drawings, specifications, and related construction documents Collaborate with department leads to finalize estimates Proactively contact general contractors to join bid lists and qualify opportunities Track all bids, maintain records of outcomes, and support ongoing project strategy Ensure accurate and timely submission of estimates Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience estimating electrical and/or data/telecom construction projects Strong understanding of commercial construction practices Proficient in interpreting blueprints, technical documents, and specifications Experience with estimating software Accubid experience strongly preferred Strong communication and relationship-building skills with GCs and internal teams Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities Why Work with AtWork
