The opportunity Altruist is in the midst of an exceptional growth phase and we're excited to hire a Sr. Engineering Manager to join our Transfers & Cashiering and High Yield Cash teams. In this role, you'll own core money movement experiences across the platform, including bank linking (via Plaid and manual entry), ACATS transfers, scheduled deposits and withdrawals, and internal account transfers. You'll manage advisor-initiated Move Money Authorization, as well as retirement distributions (RMDs, withdrawal codes, tax withholdings). Additional scope includes direct deposit, bill pay, the FDIC sweep program, and other critical money movement features that ensure a seamless and compliant user experience. As a Sr. Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in running critical functions of the company and lead three teams of 6-7 engineers that are responsible for three product areas. While collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll deliver new features, reduce our technical debt, mentor the team and manage project delivery. - 3+ years of experience working as Software Engineering Manager within a high performing Engineering organization 8+ years of experience in software development and delivery owning a highly visible and large technical scope and an in-depth knowledge of software architectures Experience in building and managing large scale software applications in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Education
- Ideally looking for a B.A. / B.S. degree in relevant fields such as Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Technical aptitude
- You're technologically savvy and can easily get up to speed on modern tech stacks (we use Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS, Postgres, Kafka, Kubernetes) Ownership
