Engineering Technologist
Provide technical, administrative and process support in a team environment for the development, assembly, and testing of electromechanical control drive systems. Responsibilities: Provide leadership and technical expertise throughout the Assembly & Test department. Establish a thorough understanding of fabrication and test requirements and how they apply to Assembly & Test Procedures. Develop expertise in existing test and measurement systems and how they apply to Assembly & Test Procedures. Develop, write, and modify detailed assembly/test procedures and process routings. Participate in design review activities. Analyze test data, review and/or prepare high quality written test reports and documentation. Interface effectively with customers, engineers, and other functional departments in support of department objectives. Perform certifications of Technicians on test and measurement systems. Create calibration procedures with a solid understanding of equipment operation and specification limits. Address and resolve out of tolerance test and measurement equipment. Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance documentation workflows and procedures. Review and revise existing documentation to accurately reflect updates in processes and equipment. Gather technical information from various departments, documents, and subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation. Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology field or minimum six (6) years' of relevant experience (in design or testing environment preferred). Entry level to senior candidates will be considered, salary commensurate with experience. Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical fundamentals and troubleshooting techniques a plus. Demonstrated leadership ability with strong verbal and written communication skills. Positive attitude and proactive approach to identifying and providing solutions to problems while maintaining project schedules. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Proficient in the use of Adobe Acrobat. Ability to write clear, concise and accurate technical reports, procedures and other documentation. Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance. Pay: $56,000 - $88,000 The base salary range for this position in Ohio (US-OH) at the start of employment is expected to be between $56,000 and $88,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
