Job Description Job Summary Under general supervision, uses knowledge and skills obtained through education and/or experience to support the Firm as it builds its asset & liability management (ALM) capabilities in preparation for continued growth and additional regulatory requirements associated with firms in excess of $100 billion. The role will focus on the buildout of interest rate risk forecasting for the parent company and material subsidiaries. Supports analyses on complex projects that are broad in nature with responsibility for recommending solutions and proper treatment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supports the build, ongoing maintenance, and running of RJF interest rate risk forecasts, including back-testing and sensitivity testing. Supports Finance leadership with planning and executing strategic initiatives, with a focus on enhancing ALM capabilities. Prepares analyses and reports for the RJF Board of Directors and management committees. Assists with requests from Risk Management, Internal Audit, and regulators. Collaborates with associates and management at all levels of the firm. Builds and maintains key relationships with stakeholders demonstrating a culture of engagement and assistance. Stays abreast of evolving regulatory requirements. Recommends process improvements to mitigate risk and increase efficiency. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Knowledge and Abilities Specific subject matter expertise regarding area of responsibility and a solid business understanding of Raymond James products and services. Financial analysis concepts, practices, and procedures. Fundamental concepts of financial markets. Financial risk management and mitigation strategies to support sound financial planning. Regulatory expectations for Large Financial Institutions (LFI). Ability to Gather and analyze financial information to identify key trends, risks, and insights. Analyze issues, evaluate alternatives, develop proposals, and present recommendations. Use Excel for financial modeling, data manipulation, and creating financial forecasts. Leverage technologies like Excel and Business Intelligence tools for forecasting, and reporting. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, across all organizational levels. Partner with other functional areas to accomplish objectives. Proactively address issues and develop solutions. Reengineer existing processes and implement process improvement initiatives. Educational/Previous Experience Requirements Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) in Business Administration, preferably with a major in Finance or a related field. Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience. OR ~ Experience with Bank Holding Company requirements preferred. Any equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training approved by Human Resources. Experience with Empyrean, QRM, or other balance sheet modeling software is a plus.
