Job Number: 25-6782 Job Summary: The Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or Intern in a Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program provides essential support and counseling for individuals facing substance use disorders. This role involves implementing evidence-based practices to facilitate recovery, utilizing medication-assisted therapies alongside therapeutic interventions. The LCDC or Intern works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for clients, promoting their health and well-being. Key Duties: Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to determine client needs and progress in the MAT program. Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate medication-assisted therapies and behavioral health interventions. Provide counseling and support to clients, focusing on building coping skills, enhancing motivation, and addressing underlying issues related to substance use. Monitor client adherence to medication regimens and assess for any side effects or complications. Collaborate with medical professionals to ensure integrated care and appropriate adjustments to treatment plans. Facilitate group therapy sessions, providing a supportive environment for shared experiences and recovery strategies. Assist clients in accessing essential resources such as housing, employment, and social services to support their recovery journey. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment interventions, and outcomes. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in addiction treatment and medication-assisted therapy. Promote a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed approach in all interactions with clients, fostering a safe and supportive therapeutic environment. Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule. Education: Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field. License: Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record. LCDC or LCDC-CI required. Must maintain licensure throughout employment. Experience: 1-2 years direct client care in mental health and/or substance abuse services. Bilingual preferred. Hours: Full-Time Workdays: Monday-Friday Workhours: 6:00AM - 3:00PM Salary: $22.14 - $32.68 an hour depending on years of licensure, plus an additional 10% crisis stipend.
