Patient Services Representative
Delaware Eye Care Center is searching for an enthusiastic, committed, full time Patient Services Representative for our Dover, DE office. A Patient Services Representative will be responsible for checking patients in and out for their ophthalmic/optometric visits, verifying and collecting insurance authorizations, charge entry duties, scheduling appointments and in and out bound phone calls as well as computer input. Eyecare Services Partners will now only consider candidates who can verify prior to hire that they either have been fully vaccinated against the Covid 19 virus or have started the vaccine process by having their initial dose before starting in their new position and are committed to completing that process within 30 days of starting work. Exemptions for medical and religious concerns will be considered. Responsibilities
Greet patients and perform check in responsibilities Verify accurate and consistent documentation of patient's personal and insurance information Call patients to reschedule appointments Check out patients and schedule follow up appointments Secure insurance authorizations Help answer any questions that patients have Ensure the patient lobby and clinical working area is neat and clean. Assist in leading the PSR team in both process and hospitality Qualifications
Possess at least one year of experience in a medical office setting. Previous medical front desk experience preferred, but not required Experience as a front desk receptionist preferred, but not required. Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Be a well-organized, team-player with great attention to detail. Demonstrate superior computer skills. Highly energetic with positive attitude. Must be willing to travel to other offices occasionally to meet the demands of business. Must be able to walk and stand for eight hours. Must be able to type or write legibly in a dimly-lit setting.
