Maintenance Mechanic 1st Shift

Maintain operation of machinery and mechanical equipment to high level production and quality standards, as well as provide service support and troubleshooting skills for machinery and equipment. What You'll Do:
Able to troubleshoot and follow machine operation sequences. Maintain operation of machinery and mechanical equipment to high level production and quality standards Provide service support and troubleshooting skills for machinery and equipment Complete Preventative Maintenance requirements and schedules Maintain Preventative Maintenance reporting and documentation Rebuild machinery to satisfy plant overhaul schedule Fabricate parts where applicable by using machine shop equipment Assist in machine moves for new lay-outs and processes Provide support for any designated facility maintenance Comply with all company Safety procedures and policies, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment Contribute to a team effort within the department, provide communication and support What You'll Bring:
Mechanic license is an asset 3-5 years related experience in industrial or manufacturing environment maintaining production equipment Experience with industrial sewing equipment is a plus Minimum Grade 12 High School Excellent knowledge of mechanical equipment: maintain, troubleshoot and re-build Knowledge of PLC's is an asset Knowledge of servo motors and drives Knowledge of pneumatic systems and components Knowledge of hydraulic systems and components Knowledge of basic electrical/electronic components and control systems Welding experience is an asset Knowledge of machine shop equipment: lathe, milling machine, surface grinders, brake press, band saws, hydraulic press Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance programs and scheduling Safety orientated, familiar with PPE, safety policies and procedures and lockout/tagout requirements Read drawings and schematics Speak and read English Fork lift and scissor lift experience is an asset Millwright certified is an asset How You'll Do It:
Safety-focused, fast-paced manufacturing plant engaged in Lean Manufacturing assembly principles. Work environment includes a clean and safe work area, exposure to high noise decibels, oil and limited chemicals. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to be worn for any hazards and is supplied by the company. Compensation:
