Responsible for defining and maintaining the drive unit technical specification and system level requirements Responsible for signing off and cascading requirements from Vehicle to Drive Unit and Drive Unit to its subsystems Drive critical technical decisions with a large team of SMEs Central point of contact with design teams, simulation/modelling, vehicle programs, manufacturing, etc.. Develop Drive Unit DFMEA and DVP with relevant stakeholders Be part of a passionate and highly driven team of multi-disciplinary engineers developing next generation Drive Unit products and systems Qualifications
3+ years of experience in systems engineering or 3+ years of mechanical design experience in electric motor/drive units Deep understanding of engineering fundamentals, systems, and working principles of electric vehicles Excellent verbal and written communication in technical and non-technical environments Strong team player and positive mindset Proactive, ownership mindset and strong work ethic Willing to get your hands dirty Ability to thrive in fast paced work environment Hunger to learn Preferred
Experience in automotive, motorsports, or aerospace environment Experience in mechanical design (gears, castings, injection moldings, electromagnetic components) Experience with requirements management tools (e.g. JAMA, DOORS, etc.) Familiarity with electrical, thermal, and electromagnetic concepts related to motor and inverter design Experience in 3D modelling software (CAD). Catia V5/V6 or 3DX preferred. Proficient in MATLAB Proficient in MBSE/SysML methods and tools (e.g. Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, Rational Rhapsody, etc.) Team leadership skills Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors. Base Pay Range (Annual): $140,000 - $192,500 USD Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
