Duties Description Operating Needs: Ability to perform appropriate nursing assessment, nursing clinical intake and provide appropriate professional nursing care per clinical guidelines prior to provider visit with patient: collects patient data, vital signs, obtains laboratory testing per protocol and document results and prepare the patient for provider's assessment and evaluation; collect patient data, vital signs, obtain laboratory testing per protocol and document results and prepare the patient for provider's assessment and evaluation. Communicate critical information to the provider immediately; document in the electronic medical record (EHR); perform treatments and changes dressings as directed by the provider in an accurate and timely manner ensuring complete documentation; competence in obtaining specimens for routine laboratory testing; perform immunizations and PPD as prescribed, accurately completing documentation; provides terminal disinfection of assigned rooms; respond appropriately to a medical or environmental emergency; assist team members in patient care delivery to ensure efficient patient flow; ensure / maintain adequate PAR list of exam room supplies that have not expired. Minimum Qualifications Eligible for or possession of a license and current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State.
