Position Summary

Under supervision, the sterilization technician will observe all PPE requirements per Zoetis policy: make yourself familiar with department specific SOP's. You will build necessary apparatuses per daily instructions. Help load and unload incoming materials from the warehouse. Learn to load and unload a variety of autoclaves in a safe manner. Colleague will follow floor leads during training period and complete tasks as required to gain training in the area. Colleague must be able to perform standing, walking, squatting, and lifting tasks throughout the day. Good attendance and ability to stay late occasionally. Hours: 1st shift, 6:00am

2:30pm. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required. Position Responsibilities

Learn and practice basic aseptic procedures. Assist with reading and reporting testing results. Demonstrate reliability in attendance and punctuality. Learn and comply with SOP's and associated documentation. Learn and assist in the completion of documentation including process worksheets, reports, log sheets. Train in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), then demonstrate understanding and compliance. Clean areas, as applicable, according to specific SOP's. Assist in maintaining adequate supplies in the production area. Demonstrate safe work habits and maintain a safe work environment. Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills. Become certified operator of electric material handling equipment. Perform supplemental duties as assigned by supervision. Education and Experience

High school graduate or equivalent required. Demonstrate basic mechanical skills. Demonstration of personal computer usage. Technical Skills and Competencies Required

Demonstrate good communication skills. Read, interpret, and apply safety procedures, standard operating procedures, maintenance instructions, and departmental procedures. Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Understand and apply instructions in written, oral, and/or diagram formats. Demonstrates good listening skills. Demonstrates the ability to work in a team environment. Physical Position Requirements

Frequent exposure to heavy items ANSI 75 safety shoes required. Exposure to cleaning agents/chemicals PPE as required. Exposure to moving mechanical parts ensure safety shields are always in place. Exposure to extreme temperature variations PPE as required.
