We're looking for a sharp, experienced Plaintiff Personal Injury attorney ready to make a real impact by shaping legal technology that improves how PI lawyers work every day. This is your opportunity to bring your years of PI practice into a fast-growing SaaS company where you'll collaborate with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Client Success to help thousands of law firms win cases, stay organized, and grow thriving practices. A Typical Day Involves
Be the expert: Advise our Product team on workflows, features, and user experiences tailored to U.S. Plaintiff Personal Injury firms. Build smarter tools: Help design powerful automationslike medical chronology tools, settlement calculators, litigation timelines, and more. Shape our voice: Partner with Marketing to deliver compelling, real-world PI content (webinars, blog posts, CLEs, product releases). Drive adoption: Support our Sales and Implementation teams with training, demos, and insights that speak directly to PI firms. Connect to the front lines: Meet with our PI clients, gather feedback, observe workflows, and translate that into product and process improvements. Contribute to our PI strategy: Influence our go-to-market approach, messaging, and roadmap as we scale up in the PI vertical. What You Bring
Essential:
Juris Doctor (JD) and active or recently active license to practice law in the U.S. 4+ years' experience practicing Plaintiff-side Personal Injury law (e.g. MVA, premises, dog bite, med mal) Passion for legal tech and streamlining messy workflows into elegant processes Strong understanding of PI firm operationsintake to settlement Excellent communication skillsyou can explain legal nuance in plain English Confidence and curiositycomfortable talking with law firm owners, developers, and marketers alike Nice to Have:
Prior experience using legal software (bonus points for Smokeball, Filevine, CasePeer, Needles, Smart Advocate or LEAP) Experience speaking at CLEs, writing legal content, or mentoring others A knack for UX, automation, or tech tools (even if you've never coded!) Life at Smokeball
