Maintenance - 1st Shift Accountable To

Maintenance Manager Primary Objective

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager this position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of plant production equipment and other facility equipment. This position is the advanced level of Maintenance Technician in the Department. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Diagnose and repair Extrusion, Fabrication and Plant equipment to ensure a high level of production output. Diagnose and repair CNC equipment as directed by the Maintenance Manager Fabricate or weld equipment and parts as directed by the Maintenance Manager or Engineering Department. Perform preventive maintenance on all production and plant equipment as directed by the Maintenance Manager. Set up, break down, diagnose problems and repair punches. Diagnose and repair electrical problems. Strictly adhere to all Company and Plant Safety policies and procedures. Work independently to resolve equipment or other mechanical problems in Extrusion and Fabrication. Repair more complex equipment problems. Read and understand more complex schematics to assemble parts or make repairs. Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent desired. 2 yr associates course from a vocational school with emphasis in mechanical or fabrication preferred Above average English communication skills, both written and verbal Minimum of 5 years experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment preferred Able to diagnose and repair CNC fabrication equipment. Able to diagnose electric problems. Able to work with and repair 110v, 240v 480v single and three phase circuit. Understands 110v, 240v and 480v single and three phase circuits. Able to weld and fabricate parts or equipment. Understands A/C, D/C motors and Servo actuators. Able to make fraction to decimal calculations. Physical Demands Able to lift 35-50 pounds repetitively. Able to stand for extended periods of time on concrete. Work Environment Will be working in multiple environments from high heat to air conditioning to adverse outdoor weather. May work in wet conditions Will work in welding and fabrication environments Will work in paint spray booth areas.
