Job Responsibilities
Maintains acceptable accuracy in-patient, quality assurance, proficiency, and competency testing. Uses clinical/ theoretical knowledge to analyze, investigate, interpret, and report lab data. Maintains current personal training, education and practice of policies and procedures. Practices organizational skills for efficiency of time, materials, cost, and availability of lab data. Practices information monitoring, investigation, resolution, and hand-off to team members. Contributes to the Laboratory's Performance Improvements and inspection readiness. Maintains current knowledge and practice of WellStar policies and procedures, including LIS. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related science except for HEW. All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated. MLS (MT) or equivalent from an accrediting agency approved by Georgia Department of Community Health. Upon Hire Required. Less than 1 year Laboratory experience Preferred. Computer/data entry experience. Ability to communicate with various members of the healthcare team. Ability to use EXCEL, Word and have basic computer operational knowledge.
