Economic Empowerment Intern

The IRC in Richmond opened its doors in October 2015 to give refugee families the tools they need to take control over their new lives in the greater Richmond area, assisting them toward self-sufficiency, self-reliance, and community integration. Scope Of Economic Empowerment Intern Work
The Career Development intern works with IRC Career Development Specialists to deliver advanced job readiness training workshops, employer and training provider outreach, and connect clients to resources that support their overall career goals. Responsibilities
Facilitate monthly advanced job readiness training workshops on topics such as: resume and cover letter writing, networking, online job searching, and related topics. Research and make initial contact with local employers and organizations to find strong employer partners in healthcare and trades. Conduct ongoing outreach to eligible clients to gauge program interests and services needed. Provide general administrative support.
