Site Logistics Engineer

. The Site Logistics Engineer serves as a vital resource for Site Logistics and our partner operating units by applying technical skills to optimize site logistics operations, resolve problems, and enable safe and efficient loading, unloading and shipment finished products and raw materials. The role requires conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures within job discipline. Successful candidates will have strong communication skills to drive problem resolution and improvements across functional teams.

Responsibilities

Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role Works closely with the site logistics and operational teams leveraging their problem-solving skills and technical expertise Elevates and appropriately applies knowledge of the plant and technology referencing historical data and conferring with Technology Center or other subject matter experts (SMEs) Ensures Most Effective Technology (MET) is understood and utilized and that process automation is used as a tool to optimize plant performance Utilizes defined MET and challenges/escalates MET application and assumptions when better solutions arise Partners with experts to perform advanced troubleshooting and improve and document operating discipline Diagnoses and documents root causes of logistics related asset utilization losses in the facility Understands why specific procedure steps and precautions are needed and keeps a strong field presence to reinforce the importance Acts as a unit technical expert during unplanned events and drives implementation of effective corrective and preventative actions Understands and improves the Site Logistics and Material Flow work processes Ensures compliance with plant operating permits. Understands site integration and provides input to optimize the overall system Qualifications A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking.

Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or related other Sciences required. 3 years experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment preferred. The critical competencies required for success are: act upon and lead safety requirements, interpersonal effectiveness, understanding customer needs, team work, taking initiative, problem solving skills, technical proficiency and analytical skills A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process. Skills Communication: The ability to effectively convey information, ideas, and solutions to various stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and collaboration. Process Improvements: The practice of continuously evaluating and enhancing existing workflows or systems to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve outcomes. Cross-Functional Work: The ability to collaborate with different departments or teams to achieve common goals, leveraging diverse expertise and perspectives. Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge and understanding of the methods and techniques used in the production of goods, ensuring efficient and effective operations. Operation Risk Management: The practice of identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with operational activities to ensure safety, compliance, and reliability. Technology strategies
