Housekeeper
The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning, stocking and maintaining guest rooms, public areas, and administrative and meeting rooms to meet established cleanliness and quality standards. The Housekeeper's role also includes transfer and laundering of linens for guest rooms, spa, pool and other areas of the resort. Immaculate rooms and facilities are critical to a high-quality guest experience and as such this position plays an important role in the success of the resort. The incumbent is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Ojo Caliente Holdings, Inc. Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities: Ensure that guest rooms are serviced, cleaned and ready for occupancy by check-in time an according to established guidelines. Change linens and make beds, clean guest bathrooms, bedrooms, sitting rooms and patios; dust, vacuum, wash windows and tracks; remove trash, dirty linens, towels and used amenities from rooms; replenish amenities and other items as needed. Clean and thoroughly stock assigned area(s) promptly and according to established procedures, guidelines, and checklists. Check, stock, and transport supply cart. Conduct visual inspection of room/unit/public area prior to completion following established procedures and checklists. Promptly report any maintenance deficiencies observed. Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and resort requirements. Maintain positive guest relations and familiarity with all resort and spa services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries. Pick up and return keys and 2-way radios at beginning and end of shift; utilize 2-way radios for communication according to established procedures. Follow established lost and found procedures, properly logging and storing items and communicating with other departments about lost and found items as needed. Support and back-up other housekeeping staff as needed. Requirements: Resort or hotel housekeeping experience a plus, but not required. Basic English speaking skills required. Ability to drive a golf cart (instruction provided). Ability to operate a 2-way radio for communication. Ability to read and comprehend labels on chemicals and cleaning products. Must have reliable transportation. Reliability and punctuality are critical. Must be able to work flexible schedule to include, weekends, weekdays and holidays. Ability to walk or stand and move about the resort (both indoors and outdoors) for eight or more hours per day, sit, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, pull and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures
