Manager, Supply Chain and Product Quality
Arcade is the world's first AI product marketplace, where everything that can be dreamed of can be made. Our mission is to create magical and social shopping experiences for people everywhere, using unparalleled design-to-manufacturing AI technologies. Arcade enables anyone to design, purchase, and sell custom, manufacturable products with a simple text prompt. Arcade matches consumers with a community of independent makers who can bring their dreams to life, using the power of AI to enable communication. Arcade aims to redefine commerce by offering unprecedented personal choice, expression, and meaning in product creation. We're using AI to empower anyone to design a product, and feel the profound experience of wearing or using a product that is an expression of their unique vision. Arcade is led by Mariam Naficy, who has 25+ years of entrepreneurial experience in e-commerce, creator communities, and make-on-demand manufacturing (Eve.com, Minted). Arcade is based in San Francisco and has recently closed a Series A, led by Canaan and Forerunner. In total, the company has raised $42M in funding, including from Reid Hoffman, Offline Ventures, Sound Ventures, Inspired Capital, and Adverb Ventures. Angel investors include Sol Bier, Christy Turlington Burns, Elad Gil, Colin Kaepernick, Karlie Kloss, Eugenia Kuyda, David Luan, Kelly Wearstler, Jeff Wilke, and Sharon Zhou. Arcade is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to inclusion and diversity. We welcome people of different backgrounds, experiences, abilities and perspectives and will consider all qualified applicants for employment in accordance with all state, local, and federal laws. Role Summary
We are looking for a highly entrepreneurial, strategic Manager to build bespoke supply chain solutions and strategic relationships with Arcade's key suppliers in existing and new categories. This role requires a customer-centric approach to product quality, where every order shipped must meet or exceed expectations. You will partner with Engineering and AI to meet the company's category expansion goals (both launching new categories as well as completing recently launched categories). This role requires cross-functional partnership to understand how product manufacturability intersects with Arcade's AI capabilities. Responsibilities will require creative thinking and hands-on implementation, requiring someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. This is a hybrid role (4-5 days per week on-site) at Arcade's office in the Presidio, San Francisco. This role will require significant international travel, in some cases being on the road for 2 or more consecutive weeks. Responsibilities
Build a network of high-quality supply chain partners (finished product manufacturers, component suppliers, etc.) to support Arcade's current categories and upcoming new category launches. Establish operational policies and processes that deliver on key supply chain goals including high quality product, order timeliness and low cost. Articulate the Arcade value proposition and vision to potential makers and suppliers in meetings, trade shows and other forums. Creatively research sources/communities of makers from which Arcade can source and recruit. Ensure timely follow up with potential makers to keep onboarding and category expansion on track. Negotiate costs with makers to ensure competitive pricing. Continuously manage costing to align with Arcade pricing strategies and to mitigate against macroeconomic challenges. Establish Quality Control standards and processes for each category and ensure processes are being adhered to. Regularly review customer feedback, NPS and product quality scores to improve quality performance across all makers. Monitor production schedules and orders to ensure timeliness of delivery to customers. Proactively communicate progress against goals and risks to successful goal completion to key company stakeholders. Order and manage product samples required for category launch activities including AI requirements and photo shoots. Drive value-add supply chain projects (e.g., sampling/strike offs, packaging development, returns, reduced delivery times, etc.) as directed by management. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of physical product development, maker relationships, business process and data, ensuring Arcade's supply chain remains a competitive advantage and translates into real-world impact at Arcade. Qualifications
Bachelor's in Business, Operations, Supply Chain or Liberal Arts. Hands-on experience with vendor and supplier sourcing. Hands-on experience with product development and manufacturing. Demonstrated experience building a bespoke supply chain for a brand or company. Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset and proven experience of resourcefulness and creative problem solving related to building bespoke supply chains. Proven track record of defining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and creating scalable, repeatable business processes. Direct experience working across multiple functional areas, especially AI and engineering. Strong attention to detail, ability to anticipate challenges and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment. Experience working with international contract manufacturing vendors preferred. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. Arcade is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to inclusion and diversity. We welcome people of different backgrounds, experiences, abilities and perspectives and will consider all qualified applicants for employment in accordance with all state, local, and federal laws.
