Location: Greater NYC/New Jersey Area (Hybrid)
Our client, a respected financial institution with a strong presence in the Greater NYC and New Jersey markets, is seeking an experienced CRE Credit Officer to join their Commercial Real Estate lending team. This role is ideal for a credit-focused professional with deep expertise in CRE and construction lending, particularly within New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania, including the Philadelphia market.
Key Responsibilities
Loan Origination Support: Partner with loan officers to evaluate and structure commercial real estate and construction loan opportunities, ensuring alignment with credit policy and risk appetite. Credit Analysis: Lead the review and analysis of borrower financials, property performance, market conditions, and sponsor strength to assess overall creditworthiness. Transaction Oversight: Manage the credit approval process, including preparing and presenting credit memos, coordinating with underwriting teams, and ensuring timely execution of deals. Portfolio Management: Monitor existing loan performance, identify emerging risks, and recommend proactive strategies to maintain portfolio health. Market Expertise: Maintain a strong understanding of local market dynamics and regulatory developments to inform credit decisions and support business growth. Qualifications
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in commercial real estate credit or lending. Strong background in underwriting and structuring CRE and construction loans. Familiarity with the New Jersey and Eastern PA markets preferred. Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills. Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred.
