ERP Programmer/Analyst - Epicor Focused This is a
confidential direct-hire opportunity
with one of our long-standing clients, an established, family-owned business known for its strong culture, high retention, and deep roots in the St. Louis area. As they prepare for a key ERP system upgrade and the upcoming retirement of a long-tenured employee, they're looking for an
ERP Programmer/Analyst
with
Epicor Kinetic
expertise to take the reins and help shape the future of their business systems. This role offers a rare chance to
walk shoulder-to-shoulder with an outgoing expert for full knowledge transfer
while taking ownership of ERP system development, enhancements, integrations, and support. You'll be a critical part of a small, collaborative IT team supporting a large, complex ERP environment with over 300 users, touching nearly every department in the company. What You'll Be Doing
Support, troubleshoot, and enhance
Epicor Kinetic
ERP, with a focus on system stability, customizations, and integrations. Collaborate directly with users across all departments to improve business processes and build scalable solutions. Develop and support
RESTful APIs , system logic, and cross-platform integrations (EDI, ACH, PayPal, Magento, and others). Design and maintain custom reports (SSRS, Crystal Reports) and implement process improvements. Analyze performance and optimize queries and algorithms within SQL environments. Assist in preparing for a
major Kinetic cloud upgrade
planned for 2026. What You Bring to the Table
5+ years working with
Epicor ERP
(Kinetic preferred). Proficiency with
C#, VB.NET , and
SQL
(writing, debugging, optimizing). Strong experience with
RESTful APIs , integration architecture, and external platforms (e.g., Magento, PayPal). Solid skills in
SSRS
report development and application documentation. Proven ability to partner closely with end users and translate business needs into technical solutions. Experience debugging issues post-upgrade or due to system limitations. Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a
hands-on, collaborative
environment. Bonus Points If You Have:
Familiarity with Crystal Reports, C++, and Epicor toolkits Exposure to ACH processing, EDI, and shipping/logistics systems Strong cross-functional communication skills A methodical, detail-oriented mindset with a passion for optimization A background in manufacturing, distribution, or wholesale environments Why Work Here?
