that's the SmartBank way. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Uphold SmartBank Core Values & Core Purpose Adheres to and embraces the SmartBank Way by Acting Smart, Looking Smart and Being Smart. Verifies documents and third party charges (title fees, appraisal, inspections, flood, credit, etc.) necessary for closing package. Manages an average pipeline of 40-50 working loan files. Verifies amounts held for escrow for property taxes and insurance. Prepares closing disclosures for delivery to Borrower (e-disclosure or emailed to Mortgage Loan Officer for in-person delivery) Prepares closing packages (through MortgageBot and DocMagic software's) for secondary market and portfolio (in-house) residential mortgages. Works closely with loan officers and underwriters to satisfy any outstanding prior to close loan conditions. Works with borrowers, realtors, and title companies to request specified documents, such as receipt for payment of outstanding property taxes or HOA dues. Coordinates closing date/time with processors to ensure that closing disclosures and closing packages will be ready. Position Requirements and Qualifications: Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Five years of recent experience in secondary market mortgage loan closing and documentation preferred. Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates): Ongoing regulatory and compliance training is required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of FHA, VA and RD loans preferred. Ability to apply knowledge and sound judgment in decision-making using established guidelines. Proficient level of computer competency including Microsoft Windows (Word, Excel, Outlook), typing and ten-key proficient. Strong written and oral communication skills. Detail orientated, good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task. Work Conditions: May be required to travel to training sessions or meetings. Extended hours will be required as needed.
