Reports to: Manager of Individual Giving FLSA: United States of America (Exempt) Employment Status: Regular/Full time The Development Associate serves as a member of the high performing fundraising team for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, providing support for Individual Giving fundraising projects, including execution of all fundraising and donor stewardship events and fulfillment of donor benefits. As a primary contact point for donors, this position is responsible for providing a high level of service to the ASO's most important patrons, including Board members, Advisory Council members, Leadership Donors, and other major donors. Additionally, this position will support broad-based giving activities. The ideal candidate will have the ability to provide excellent service to donors and will exhibit a high level of organization, the capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, the ability to be flexible to changing needs and priorities, strong writing and communication skills, and a passion for the mission of the ASO. Major Activities

Coordinate and execute all donor stewardship events in collaboration with Development Department leadership, ensuring excellent donor experiences. Manage the weekly pre-concert Robert Shaw Dinners and Intermission service including all communications with donors, reservation confirmations, coordination with external caterers, on-site management during events, internal communication with Executive Leadership and staff, post-event billing, and ensure weekly materials are provided accurately and promptly. On-site management requires work on Thursday and occasional Saturday evenings. Provide high-level service to the Orchestra's Board members, Advisory Council members, Leadership Donors, and other major donors with prompt and professional communication. Respond to donor needs and requests including, but not limited to, event reservations, ticket and parking requests, and benefit fulfilment and delivery. Effectively solve issues and answer questions while keeping donors apprised of progress. Support individual giving tasks and fundraising projects. Use Tessitura, Ticketmaster Archtics, and Microsoft Excel to track and report event attendance and RSVPs, maintain donor contact lists, complete donor ticket and parking requests, pull concert attendance lists, complete Robert Shaw Dinner billing, and other tasks as needed. Create thorough event briefings to be used by all participants in ASO development events. Write appropriate remarks for individuals who are presenting during events. Distribute finalized documents and guest lists at least 48 hours in advance of each event. Provide support for the Orchestra's annual Gala. Assist with other Development tasks and other duties as assigned. Position Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 1-3 years prior working in a development office Commitment to exemplary customer service Event planning and project management experience preferred High level of organization and exceptional attention to detail Ability to be flexible to changing needs and priorities Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft formal messages Outstanding interpersonal skills; ability to cultivate positive relationships and communicate effectively Show initiative in problem-solving Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team environment; is willing to assist others Skill in independently prioritizing tasks and managing time Above-average proficiency in computer software programs, with emphasis on the Microsoft Office products. Familiarity with Tessitura, Ticketmaster, and MailChimp a plus. Availability for Thursday and occasional Saturday evenings is essential. The role also involves evening and weekend work and may require travel.
