Enters and updates information in various databases. Utilizes eJusticeNY to conduct New York State Inspector General and DCJS checks. Reviews DCJS data and notifies appropriate external agencies of positive hits. Initiates Governors applicant investigations and coordinates background checks with field personnel. Corresponds with Division staff and external agencies to ensure that background investigations are done timely and appropriate agencies are notified. Follows up with field personnel when status checks are requested. Answers phones and directs callers to appropriate personnel. Distributes and opens incoming mail. One year in a Salary Grade 6 position or higher, OR High School Diploma and one year of experience in an administrative support role, which includes use of office software (e.g., email, word processing), provision of customer service, business writing, and/or management of an office. Minimum qualifications must be met by the closing date of the posting. Resumes will be evaluated to determine whether candidates will proceed to the interview phase of the process.
