Supply Chain Scheduler For Raw Material Sampling

A Supply Chain Scheduler for Raw Material Sampling is the subject matter expert for the Raw Material Sampling Operations within the warehouse and oversees all tasks related to that area of responsibility. The Scheduler is responsible for leading floor activities by delivering daily finite sampling schedule. Also responsible for communicating issues to leadership, generating, processing, and reviewing warehouse records / logs and following Standard Operating Procedures. The Scheduler is responsible for performing warehouse related supply chain analysis in addition to quality / safety related investigations. Responsibilities must be performed in compliance with all safety policies and adherence to SOPs, GMPs, and Zoetis Core Beliefs. The Scheduler works with the team of RMS Specialists that perform raw material sampling related tasks and responsibilities in a lean manufacturing environment. This includes providing daily/weekly schedule, prepping material for sampling, printing, and understanding sampling instruction sheets, completing sampling, packaging samples for transport to the labs, and documenting all related activities per job requirements. This is a position that requires high attention to detail ensuring a quality product is delivered to our customers. This role operates in a fast-paced environment with a heavy focus on accuracy and customer requirements. The position requires strong analytical skills for tracking RMS performance metrics, ensuring team members are assigned to the correct tasks to maximize RMS efficiencies, be able to troubleshoot and resolve RMS issues, and have a strong focus on continuous improvement. The position also requires the use of SAP, intermediate data analytic skills in Microsoft applications, use of the Raman RMS hardware and software, and other database and computer systems. All activities are conducted within a safety-minded culture that strives for continuous improvement. A Scheduler - RMS will perform a variety of tasks including: Own and maintain SOP's and Job Aids for area of responsibility within RMS. Develop weekly finite RMS schedule, by day, and measure plan vs. action performance. Develop and report out on weekly on-time sample delivery. Coordinate and prioritize tasks associate with area of responsibility in order to meet warehouse and production schedules. Accountable for MFGR process and on-time compliance. Point of contact for all sampling expedites for schedule adjustments. Perform inventory physical adjustments for all sample material used for inventory control and accuracy. Act as Subject Matter Expert for area of responsibility and train on specific requirements. Advanced use of Microsoft Excel to perform analytics and generate finite schedule. Ability to provide rudimentary back-up support for Team Leader and other Coordinators. Maintain and update metrics on visual boards. Advanced level of knowledge in SAP; thorough understanding of transactions and navigation in order to troubleshoot issues. Frequent interactions with customers and other groups external to the site and/or external to Zoetis. Ensure all tasks are performed in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines, as well as applicable regulatory standards, such as current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). Handle and transport hazardous materials based on DOT regulations and internal SOPs. Material movements and transactions in SAP. Collaborate with internal customers and enabling groups (ex: Production, Quality, EHS, etc.) Perform self-audits and inspections. Participate on teams as required (ex: Safety Team, Kaizen Events, process improvement teams, etc.) Be willing and able to support standard warehouse operations, additional continuous improvement projects, and data analytics request from leadership in the warehouse up to 15% of the time. Additional duties and responsibilities: Knowledge of cGMP's and production practices. Advanced experience in SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Reliable transportation and good attendance/time management skills. Experience in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement work environment; 5S, visual schedule, PDCA, M1, etc. Ability to train on area SOP's/OJT's- equipment, process, paperwork. Education and experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Basic math, English communication skills, legible penmanship, and reading comprehension. Demonstrated leadership abilities. A background knowledge in chemistry or pharmaceutical formulation processes would be helpful. Ability to follow detailed instructions. Proficient use of Microsoft applications and general computer skills. Effective interpersonal communication and a positive outlook. Demonstrated strong presentation and communication skills to various levels of the organization. Physical time and requirements: Routine lifting of 20-50lbs. Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and/or walking Ability to use warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, etc. Flexible hours and overtime may be required. Manual dexterity and ability to keep up with pace of production standards. Work environment: Colleague will work in a facility that manufactures Cephalosporins and must not be Cephalosporin/Penicillin sensitive. Must work near moving mechanical parts. Eye protection and other personal protective equipment are required. Off-site support may be required.
