Manager, Operations
TE Connectivity's AD&M business unit is seeking a results-driven Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of our multi-site Mt. Joy, PA manufacturing facilities. As a key member of the Plant Leadership Team, this individual will play a critical role in setting plant direction, driving continuous improvement, and delivering world-class manufacturing performance. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, including manufacturing, inventory control, EH&S, and team development, while ensuring alignment with TE's strategic objectives. This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee. Responsibilities Lead daily operations of the manufacturing plant to meet key performance targets in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Talent Development. Manage production activities, floor leadership, and team members to optimize labor and equipment efficiency. Drive continuous improvement using TEOA (TE Operating Advantage) and lean manufacturing principles. Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes to ensure safety, quality, and process compliance. Implement corrective actions in response to internal audit findings. Deliver on-time performance, work center productivity, and customer quality expectations. Engage supporting departments to resolve gaps in SQDIP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity). Monitor capacity, forecast requirements, and support execution of operational budgets. Create a high-performing team culture through coaching, feedback, mentoring, and employee engagement initiatives. Ensure safety protocols are followed to protect the health and well-being of all employees. Manage hiring processes for production roles and support employee development and retention. Foster collaboration across functions within a global matrix organization. What your background should look like: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field. Minimum 5 years' leadership experience in manufacturing operations or plant supervision. Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and eliminate operational waste. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, TEOA, and continuous improvement tools. Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (SAP preferred). Solid understanding of budget management, cost control, and financial reporting. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data analytics tools. Experience working in a fast-paced, high-performance manufacturing environment. Proven success in organizational transformation and team building. Ability to lead change, engage teams, and develop high-performing talent.
