Safety Foreman

As a Safety Foreman, you will oversee and enforce health and safety protocols on our construction site. The Safety Foreman will be responsible for ensuring all activities comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations. This role plays a critical part in protecting workers, minimizing risk, and promoting a culture of safety across the project site. Responsibilities

Implement, promote, and enforce safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA). Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards. Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents in conjunction with Wohlsen safety team. Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure compliance among workers and subcontractors. Coordinate and lead site safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions for all team members. Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure safety requirements are integrated into daily operations. Maintain up-to-date safety documentation, including records of inspections, training, permits, and incident logs. Stay informed on new safety legislation, technologies, and industry best practices. Provide recommendations to improve site conditions and reduce potential hazards. Ensure emergency response plans are in place and conduct drills regularly. Qualifications:

Minimum 3-5 years of construction experience in safety & health management required. CHST, ASP, CSP or other safety certification preferred Certified OSHA 30 Knowledge of construction industry contract documents Communication skills (verbal/written) Proficiency in Microsoft Office products Have a valid driver's license and be able to travel and work additional hours as necessary to meet company goals. Be able to maintain confidentiality and be client and team-oriented. Physical Requirements

In a normal day, this position requires the employee must be able to stand, sit, walk, and drive for 4-6 hours. Employee must be able to lift/carry up to 20 lbs. maximum; frequently lift/carry up to 10lbs. In this position, employee occasionally (0-33%) must be able to bend at waist, squat the knees, climb (including ladders), reach above shoulders, kneel, crawl, use feet (foot controls), and/or work at heights above 6 feet.
