Completion of a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related Engineering degree. At least 5 years of directly related experience. Familiarity with the Pressurized Water Reactors and experienced with the plant system thermal-hydraulic and core response during transients. Experience using RELAP or similar code to simulate reactor system behavior during postulated accidents. Display positive and effective team interaction. As an Experienced LOCA Safety Analysis Engineer in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will include: Performing new or revising existing small break and large break loss-of-coolant accident (LOCA) analyses using a Framatome version of RELAP5. Evaluating and documenting the impact of plant and core design changes on existing LOCA analyses. Contributing to methods development activities in support of new fuel products. Contributing to the development of automation and software tool to improve operating efficiency. Interfacing with other engineering teams to ensure successful customer delivery.
