Testing Center Coordinator

The Testing Center Coordinator is responsible for the successful operations of the University Testing Center in providing access, support, integrity, confidentiality, and compliance for a wide array of student testing services. This is a two-year grant funded position. Job Responsibilities: Schedules testing appointments Administers exams Actively monitors exams in person and/or through surveillance systems Develops the testing schedule to accommodate student needs, which may include testing opportunities outside of regular business hours Responds to phone and email inquiries Promotes Testing Center services to various departments on campus Ensures applicable student accommodations are conducted during testing Orders testing materials and supplies for the Testing Center Provides testing activity reports, as needed Maintains accurate and secure records related to the Testing Center Ensures testing procedures and policies are adhered to for security and integrity of testing Trains Testing Center staff and exam proctors on policies and procedures Conducts presentations on Testing Procedures for various departments on campus Maintains and updates the HCU Testing website as needed regarding testing dates and times and procedures for registering for exams Submits yearly budget requests to Director of Testing and Accommodations Submits yearly University Assessments and reports Supervises proctors and work study students Maintains current knowledge of best practices and emerging issues in testing services Conducts research and makes recommendations for policy and procedure improvements for testing services Oversees Testing Center technology equipment, furniture, materials, and other physical resources Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders Experience: Testing Center experience preferred Basic knowledge of accommodations preferred Additional Information: Houston Baptist University is committed to maintaining a teaching faculty and staff who share an active Christian faith.
