Environmental Health And Safety Manager

The ideal candidate will have the following requirements: Previous experience developing, implementing, and managing ISO14001, and/or ISO 45001 EHS Management systems, preferably within a manufacturing or related environment. A relevant technical degree in Engineering or EHS, with at least 2 years of experience in areas related to health and safety. Good knowledge of safety legal requirements and best practices in the field. Previous experience conducting effective and engaging training. Excellent computer and verbal/written communication skills. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Manage safety procedures and develop/present training including fall protection, lockout tagout, electrical, and machine safety programs. Implement and manage a contractor work permit system with the related departments. Support site staff in developing safety-aligned work plans for complex tasks involving employees and contractors. Lead, train and develop the on-site emergency response team. Assist with the maintenance of the company's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management system to exceed regulatory, corporate and industry requirement (ISO14001/ISO45001). Coordinate related internal audits and inspections and annual risk assessments. Perform periodic evaluations/audits of the site and safety programs to ensure compliance with safety plans, policies and regulatory requirements. Support the investigation of the root cause of safety-related events and ensure the implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions. Present technical information to the management team. Be a key partner in a positive, proactive, and integrated EHS culture. This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
