Regulatory Liaison

This position, which reports to the Regulatory Liaison, is one of the primary points of contact for all KeyCorp interactions with the regulators. Assists in the consistent execution of KeyCorp's examination management processes. Maintains direct communication with the regulators, line of business personnel, and senior management. Essential Job Functions: Builds effective communication between lines of business, senior management and regulatory agencies Acts in an advisory role to senior management to set and execute regulatory relationship strategies Proactively assists in coordinating agendas and preparing for regulatory update meetings with senior management Attends and actively participates in periodic meetings with the central point of contact for each agency to maintain open communication with the regulators Identifies regulatory themes and trends through interactions with the regulators and assists in advising management to ensure Key's responses are accurate and consistent Effectively interacts with the regulators to ensure expectations are met throughout the examination process as well as during periodic meetings with the regulators Leads cross functional groups in the planning and execution of complex regulatory examinations Proactively provides direction and assistance to senior management and others on regulatory matters and best practices as it relates to the examination process Assists in the development and documentation of a regulatory examination program Provides training to lines of business and senior management, as necessary, on regulatory interactions to ensure a consistent approach and protocol are followed Provides support on complex issues to ensure communications with regulators are appropriate and timely Prepares periodic reports for senior management and Board of Directors Maintains supervisory correspondence, regulatory inquiries and responses and meeting information Suggests and assists in the development of enhancements in departmental processes and procedures to increase efficiency and/or improve service provided internally and externally Identifies and escalates potential issues in a timely basis Serves as back-up to Regulatory Liaison May supervise other staff or rotational analysts or interns Marginal or Peripheral Functions: Participates in special projects as necessary. Required Qualifications: Ability to work collaboratively with individuals in the lines of business and other support areas, regulators, and other team members Strong oral and written communication skills Bachelor's degree Minimum 5 years experience in the financial services or other highly regulated industry Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications: Regulatory experience Risk Management or audit experience MBA
