Act Employment Specialist (QMHP)

The Employment Specialist is a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) who provides employment skills training to individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness who may also have co-occurring substance use disorders, chronic health conditions and/or IDD. The Employment Specialist participates in diagnostic evaluation, completes assessment, and collaborates with diverse individuals to define and facilitate desired life outcomes utilizing a recovery based and trauma-informed perspective. The Employment Specialist may provide all or some of the following: deliver therapeutic interventions fostering skills necessary to manage symptoms, obtain/maintain employment or housing, or help obtain services such as school, medical care, nutritional assistance, financial assistance, transportation, legal assistance and other resources to fulfill needs. Services are typically provided in the community. Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule. Education: Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field. License: Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Experience: 1 year experience working in the Behavioral health field. Hours: Full-Time. Workdays: Monday - Friday (on call rotation weekends/holidays). Workhours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM. Salary: $23.25 - $24.41 an hour based on education plus an additional 10% crisis stipend.
