Basic Qualifications: High School Education or GED equivalency. 1 year manufacturing experience
Intermediate understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools and measuring tools (Zahn cup, thermometer, mixer, verniers, ruler, calipers, step gauge, Exacto Knives, Dremmels, etc.) Proficient using basic computer applications Basic understanding of geometry; Ability and willingness to perform mathematical calculations with ratios, fractions, and decimals. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Mix impregnation compounds following formulas outlined on process sheets independently. Maintain proper documentation including but not limited to oven charts, viscosity data, etc.; Audit oven charts. Soak, apply pressure, and vacuum as required Select oven program functions independently. Ensure appropriate inventory level of supplies, while ensuring all material is stored properly in location, and complies with proper expiration date ranges. Clean fixtures, vacuum chamber, vacuum hood, and tanks with solvents as required Safely clean parts at high temperature exposures Possess ability to perform multiple functions simultaneously (i.e.
while parts are curing, perform set up of other parts) Perform daily machine preventative maintenance; Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products Frequent interaction with internal and/or external customers and support functions (i.e.
Planners, Engineering) outside of home department. May act as primary contact for auditors. Assist in troubleshooting parts. Perform duties on proto-type or first-time builds. Participate in and support team initiatives Compliantly complete all written and/or electronic labor tracking documentation. Report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach. Keep all shift operators informed on special problems involving operation or set up Communicate with team to ensure all team members are aware of new processes and/or issues. Assists Engineering and/or Team in development and/or improvement of layout procedures and process sheets. Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures per position requirements. Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products. Understands and abides by the GE Leadership behaviors. Other duties as be required. Desired Qualifications: Assembly, solder experience and/or manufacturing experience Experience working with resins, varnishes, epoxies, and understanding of basic chemical safety Experience working with solvent ovens Experience in a self-directed teaming environment Demonstrates ability to work effectively in a team environment.
