Under the supervision of the physician or advanced practice clinician (NP or PA), performs Medical Assistant specific tasks, and assesses and educates patients. Education

High School Diploma or GED required. Training in specialty-specific assisting desired. Experience

One year of experience in a clinical setting. Certification & Licensures

BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart 'Healthcare Provider' (HCP) - AHA approved. New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation. Qualifications

Good communication skills. Competent to provide care to patients utilizing the nursing process. Knowledge of the basic principles of human growth and development. Competent to successfully interact with patients according to their special needs which may apply, based on age of the patient served. FLSA Classification
