Multi-Modality Respiratory Care Practitioner
The Multi-Modality Respiratory Care Practitioner positions applies fundamental techniques of respiratory therapy to patients in a variety of health care settings. Able to perform basic respiratory care procedures on newborns, pediatrics, and adults. Respiratory Care Practitioner CRT assists in the diagnosis and treatment of patients who have pulmonary disorders such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), collapsed lungs, and pneumonia. May collect blood samples, conduct tests, measure lung capacities, and determine the levels of gases such as oxygen and carbon dioxide within patients lungs. Respiratory Care Practitioner RRT treats patients with pulmonary disorders such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), collapsed lungs, and pneumonia. The RRT meets with patients, diagnoses ailments, designs treatment plans, and conducts tests to assess lung capacity and gas levels. Qualifications Education Respiratory Care Practitioner CRT: Associates Degree from an AMA approved school of Respiratory Therapy Preferred Respiratory Care Practitioner RRT: Associates Degree from an AMA Respiratory Therapy Program- Required Respiratory Care Practitioner Senior: Associates Degree from an AMA Respiratory Therapy Program- Required Certification & Licensures Respiratory Care Practitioner CRT: Licensed by the Arizona Board of Respiratory Care Examiners - Required Proof of having passed the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).- Required Basic Life Support (BLS) ACLS PALS - Required NRP- Required within 90 days from date of hire and/or providing care in special care nursery Respiratory Care Practitioner RRT: Licensed by the Arizona Board of Respiratory Care Examiners- Required National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)- Required BLS ACLS PALS - Required NRP- Required within 90 days from date of hire and/or providing care in special care nursery Respiratory Care Practitioner Senior: Licensed by the Arizona Board of Respiratory Care Examiners- Required National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)- Required One specialty credential ACCS CRPFT NPS Certified Asthma Pulmonary Disease Educator Certification or AHA Certified Instructor - Required BLS ACLS PALS - Required NRP- Required within 90 days from date of hire and/or providing care in special care nursery Employee will obtain and maintain appropriate clinical competencies for the roles assigned by their departmental leader.
