The Global Issues team within the Insikt (Research) Group focuses on Geopolitics, Physical Security, Extremism, Terrorism, and Influence Operations. You will support high-profile clients by conducting in-depth research and analysis to produce intelligence that covers significant global issues and events. Who You'll Work With:

The Global Issues team is a multifaceted group of subject matter experts specializing in different regions of the world and in threat analysis. The team supports a variety of products, services, and initiatives for both internal stakeholders and customers. You will also work with other teams in the Insikt Group on larger research projects and client requests. What You'll Do:

Research, track, and author reports on geopolitics in Latin America, with subject matter expertise in regional culture, history, and security dynamics Lead or contribute to ongoing research projects published for customers and on the company's public website Provide thought leadership and input on the strategic direction of long-term research priorities Collaborate with other Insikt Group members and peer review short and long-form intelligence reports Drive sourcing, collecting, and curating new data into the Recorded Future Platform, specifically Latin America-centric open source websites, social media, etc. in Spanish and Portuguese. Partner with multiple internal teams to develop and improve the Geopolitical Intelligence offering Identify additional primary data sources for collection in the Recorded Future Platform to enhance our understanding of, and ability to monitor, geopolitical developments in Latin America Assist in the curation of entities in the Recorded Future Platform to enable accurate collection Support external engagements, for example presenting an intelligence report to Recorded Future customers, prospects, or the wider intelligence community What You'll Bring (Required):

BA/BS or MA/MS degree or equivalent experience in Political Science, International Relations, Security Studies, Regional Studies, or a related discipline Subject matter expertise in Latin America 2+ years experience as a threat intelligence analyst or in a similar position Demonstrably strong writing skills; ability to convey complex concepts Understanding of the intelligence cycle and formulating intelligence assessments Familiarity with analytic tradecraft, intelligence analysis, and related writing techniques Experience with open source intelligence tools and collection Professional fluency in reading a foreign language common to Latin America, with a preference for Spanish Ability to effectively communicate with and work as part of a globally distributed team Highly Desirable Additional Skills / Experience (Not Required):

Experience in tracking illicit finance flows, particularly those connected to money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, and organized crime Experience with or knowledge of scripting languages (ex. Python) to automate workflows or tasks Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Security Practical experience integrating or leveraging LLMs (For example, GPT, Claude, Gemini) in real-world applications, tools, or workflows to develop efficiencies in intelligence analysis.
