The Senior Decision Support/Financial Analyst is a key strategic partner at Woman's Hospital, responsible for leading financial analysis that drives operational efficiency, capital planning, and data-informed decision-making. This role oversees the productivity system and capital analysis, ensuring data accuracy and actionable insights across departments. With expertise in EHRs, billing, and accounting systems, the analyst supports costing, management reporting, and reimbursement strategy. The position requires strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, payment methodologies, and data integration. This role also mentors peers, champions process improvements, and helps shape analytics capabilities aligned with the hospital's strategic goals. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business, information systems or healthcare related field. Three years working in financial/business analytics or decision support Responsibilities: Leads the development of pro formas and healthcare business models to evaluate clinical programs, service lines, and capital projects. Supports decision-making with accurate, scenario-based financial projections aligned with care quality and access goals. Utilizes healthcare-specific cost accounting systems to deliver detailed margin, cost-per-case, and profitability analyses. Ensures data accuracy and relevance for strategic and operational use. Directs and facilitates the annual operating and capital budgeting process in coordination with departmental and executive leadership. Provides insights into cost trends, resource utilization, and budgetary alignment with population health goals. Manages productivity benchmarking and reporting using healthcare productivity systems. Works closely with nursing, clinical departments, and support services to interpret labor variances and design achievable staffing strategies. Leads monthly financial variance analysis of clinical departments and service lines. Prepares executive-level summaries with actionable recommendations to address performance gaps or opportunities. Conducts return on investment (ROI) and total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses for medical equipment, facility expansion, and technology investments. Advises stakeholders on financial stewardship and long-term sustainability. Serves as a financial consultant to clinical and administrative departments, interpreting healthcare-specific general ledger activity and identifying improvement opportunities in revenue cycle, expense management, and financial operations. Develops intuitive, healthcare-specific dashboards and reporting tools, translating complex data into insights relevant to nursing, medical, and administrative stakeholders. Monitors trends in healthcare reimbursement, policy, and cost drivers, and integrates this knowledge into financial forecasts and strategic plans. Any other duties as assigned by Woman's Hospital.
