Software Services Support Engineer

The Software Services Support Engineer plays a vital role in maintaining the stability and integrity of software products within our core inserter business. This position is responsible for testing and managing software releases to both manufacturing and field teams, supporting field issues and upgrades, and promoting configuration and change management best practices to ensure solution quality. The role requires close collaboration with Service Engineering and Product Engineering teams to address application and system-related concerns. Success in this role requires a strong technical foundation combined with excellent communication skills to effectively support and educate a variety of audiences, including employees and clients. A solid working knowledge of the mailing industry is essential. This position reports to the Director of Technical Support and is based in Danbury, CT. Primary Responsibilities:

Provides technical support and expertise to MFG and field CSRs with a particular emphasis on promoting best practice and ensuring consistency of process concerning supporting equipment to maximize system integrity and quality. Maintains high level of equipment SW up time through knowledge of products, systems network, and customer requirements with a view to maximizing customer satisfaction and quality. Supports a wide range of technical product activities including but not limited to Vote By Mail, installation of complex custom configurations and beta testing to ensure customer satisfaction and solution quality. Provides a link between the Field service department, engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing for all issues related to SW change control and integrity. Supports product quality and defect closure across all inserter SW product lines. Provides technical training and support for training activities as needed. Support of test engineering functions on product development and new product stabilization. Provide support for Danbury MFG integration for all new SW releases.
