Engineer - Electrical Design
The Engineer - Electrical Design is part of an integrated product team of engineers that design and support embedded controls for aerospace flight control and engine control electronic applications. This is an onsite role; may be eligible for relocation. This role is onsite, in Windsor Locks, CT. What You Will Do: Perform the electrical design, development, analysis and test of electrical components and circuits within digital control systems Implement new electronic equipment designs and modifications of existing designs to improve operational efficiency Design and validate circuits meet specified performance, AC timing and signal integrity requirements Develop and execute hardware verification test plans and procedures Produce designs according to specifications using the most cost effective and efficient means Provide technical support for investigation into production and field product failure Leverage circuit theory, processing system design and development, instrumentation, semiconductor devices and solid-state devices What You Will Learn: You will learn how to design safe/robust/high performance/high reliability circuitry for aerospace applications. You will learn electrical design, development, analysis and test of electrical components and circuits within digital control systems at Collins Aerospace. You will learn Collins' core engineering policies, procedures and standard work. You will learn Digital Controls' product lines, design architectures and detailed designs. Qualifications You Must Have: Requires a Bachelor's degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships). U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. Qualifications We Prefer: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred. Experience working with electronic control systems (school project or prior internship experience). Experience or coursework in designing and verifying electronic circuit cards. Analog circuit analysis and processing system design experience. Test and lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) experience. The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
