This individual will fill a key role within the Corporate Accounting Department. This position will support various aspects of accounting for the company. This position will assist in daily fiscal operations of the Corporate Accounting department by means of integration with client partnership accounting functions. This position also requires, but is not limited to assisting with monthly closings, aid in Accounts Payable and Receivable processing. Will maintain balance sheet schedules and subsidiary ledgers, and prepare and reconcile monthly bank statements. Responsibilities

Reconcile ledger accounts, note and report discrepancies found in records Initiate and approve wires, ACH, and book transfers

Assistant will only be responsible for accounts in which they are not reconciling bank statements. Reconcile corporate bank statements

Assistant will only be responsible for reconciliations in which they do not process cash receipts and or disbursements. Receive, record, and bank cash and checks

Assistant will only be responsible for accounts in which they do not reconcile bank statements. Code documents according to company procedures. Monitor daily activity of bank deposits, wires, transfers & checks. Prepare monthly & yearly adjusting journal entries. Assist in preparation of audit schedules. Maintain/Update various financial schedules. Process invoices & intercompany billings. Invest 401k contributions each pay period. Assist in month-end & year-end reporting for corporate management as well as educational foundation, health plan & retirement plan. Maintain/Update bookkeeping & tax credit fees. Assist corporate accountant & controller on special projects. Perform research in response to management inquiries. Qualifications

Required Experience:

2-4 years' experience with bookkeeping and accounting duties Required Education/Training:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates degree in Accounting preferred. Required Skills and Abilities:

Ability to apply strong problem solving techniques. Candidate will need to be effective and experienced in general accounting functions. The position requires accounting experience and strong analytical skills. Proficient with MS Excel. Knowledge of AS400, Realpage & QuickBooks not required but useful. Working Conditions:
