Process Engineer UROC
Location: Orlando, FL What you will be doing: Process Engineering and Continuous Improvement Manager (CIM) The Process Engineering and Continuous Improvement Manager is a key driver in the improvement of business and operational processes within the Supply Chain focusing on excellence in customer experience (internal and external), safety, quality, cost, and delivery. They will leverage Lean Six-Sigma thinking and methodologies and engage with cross-functional teams within Supply Chain to drive and deliver improvements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Identify, prioritize, and lead improvement opportunities within the Supply Chain Operations that add value, and eliminate/reduce wastes (defects, overproduction, waiting, not-utilizing talent, transportation, inventory, motion, excessive processing) Lead the development of new processes using lean process design methods including translating customer demand into operational takt time, determining work sequence / number of staff required to meet production goals Create process maps and document new and existing workflows Partner with Operations to take workflows and create the 1st revision of operational standard work Develop Charter/Scope documents, plan and lead Kaizen Events Facilitate events/workshops/meetings with cross-functional teams (process mapping, brainstorming, etc.) Mentor and support iSPOT program (A3 / one-page problem solving), 5S, and Gemba walks Instruct Lean courses Foster a culture of continuous improvement by engaging and empowering people at all levels Lead projects as well as assist other project leads and teams through the life of the project Assist in the development of a business case and cost/benefit analysis Provide updates to leadership on the status of projects/improvements Professional Competencies: Lean end-to-end systems thinking Customer focused Results oriented, drives for excellence in all aspects of work Problem solving Facilitation Project management, facilitation, analytical thinking, and change management skills Catalyst for change Collaboration across functions Team focused, creates conditions to ally with stakeholders and foster partnerships for mutual benefit Professional oral and written communication skills with both large and small audiences Ability to develop cost/benefit analysis to inform business decisions Self-motivated, self-managed, & driven; ability to work effectively when unsupervised Here's what you'll bring to the team: Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience in continuous improvement, Lean Six Sigma, Industrial or Process Engineering Experience managing projects and leading teams Experience applying Lean methodologies and tools Lean Six-Sigma certification a plus (Yellow/Green/Black Belt) Experience using statistical software a plus (JMP) Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, etc.)
